To help parents make a confident decision, YouTube reviewer @newparentsintraining conducted a hands-on comparison of 6 popular breast milk coolers—testing how well they actually cool and maintain safe temperatures over time.

Only WONDBORN, Momcozy, and Dr. Brown’s (Ice Only) were able to cool milk below 40°F and keep it there for an extended time. WONDBORN and Momcozy also worked well with larger milk volumes.
Boon cooled quickly at first but went above 40°F after about 4 hours as the ice melted. Ceres Chill and both Willow setups did not consistently reach safe temperatures during the test. Overall, ice-based coolers lost performance faster without fresh ice.
Final Verdict: Best Breast Milk Cooler for Real-World Use
Based on @newparentsintraining’s test, ice-pack coolers performed best overall for long-term storage.
Both WONDBORN and Momcozy successfully maintained breast milk below 40°F throughout the 12-hour test period.
However, differences emerged over time. At the 12-hour mark, Momcozy showed a slight warming trend in the upper chamber, reaching approximately 40°F, while WONDBORN remained consistently below 40°F in both chambers throughout the test.
WONDBORN also offered a slightly larger capacity (approximately 2 oz more), along with practical design advantages such as flip-top lids, integrated handles, and a wider opening compatible with both bottles and milk storage bags.
Overall, ice-pack cooling systems proved to be the most reliable option for long-duration breast milk storage. Among all products tested, WONDBORN delivered the most consistent cooling performance in this real-world comparison.
